I Just Couldn't Resist

The opportunity was there and our feelings were the same.
The attraction was mutual so who is there to blame.
We should have known there was more to it than a simple kiss.
We shouldn’t have done it but I just couldn’t resist.

Now the hours are longer, the days are worse.
It’s as if that kiss was the source of a curse.
If only we could have been stronger we could have avoided all of this.
But I wanted you so bad, that I just couldn’t resist.

Now we’re paranoid and worried that someone might know.
When everyone’s in the same room, we might slip and let it show.
We must now pretend our feelings for each other don’t exist.
All because of a kiss I just couldn’t resist.
