Giving it all away for nothing
What joy to you will I even bring
Always took more than I gave
Your love I never tried to save

Burying secrets and feeding you lies
I did it all as I looked in your eyes
I stole your heart and watched it burn
The love you had I couldn’t return

I used you until you were empty
And for you I still have no sympathy
Turn away from me, you wouldn’t dare
But then again, I wouldn’t even care

You know you can’t go on like this
With me you’ll never find peace or bliss
I’ll continue to do what I want to
As those feelings for me begin to haunt you

You know one day I’ll disappear
And the big picture will become clear
How can you stand to be
With someone as cold and heartless as me

Can’t you see I’m just plain ugly inside
That’s one thing from I can’t hide
You’ll see who I really am one day
But will you have the strength to walk away

raw and real

Damn, your character must be one gorgeous woman for a man to put up with that abuse. Then, again, if the sex was good.

This was a tough poem, raw, and real written from the heart sounding like the writer has been there or is there.

Great!
