Click hereWhisper where you’ve run from
and I’ll tell you I’ve been there
with warm hand to chest
where the racing heart pounds
that could have been my own
some years ago
I ran in your shoes
and found them too big

together in this
something we’ll never talk about

I enjoy the powerful emotional undercurrent present in this piece; so subtly written of yet with such a strong presence.
I liked the poem for the restrained quality of its statements and for the rhythm which made me feel that it could have been used as great lyrics for a heart wrenching folk song, telling of the pains and understanding (of sorts) learned in some relations.
