"I Love You..."

I love you -

the way your eyes glow watching me
doing all the lil nothings I'm prone to do,

the lil 'crinkles' that show
as your lips curve
involutarily
- though you WANT to be MAD -
- you really OUGHT to be MAD -
... but really can't
cause your heart won't let you,

hearing the rustling of your clothes
as you walk by
behind me
and that momentary PAUSE,
and I KNOW the look you give
- I've SEEN it reflected dear, many times -
and then the rustling continues,

sharing a 'chick' flick
cause you NEED just to be close
for THAT moment and
to KNOW inside that I WANT to be there
BECAUSE I don't HAVE to be there,

the holding - without clinging,
or frantic emotion -
just because it FEELS so special to be held
close
tight
warmly
care-full-ly
each and every time
everytime
anytime
any time you're near enough
there's time enough or
just because -
I love you.
