All my life you've been there for me,
Loved me, Held me and comforted me,
The First thing I remember is your face,
The Face each of us adore.
Through The years, Those painful years,
You've help me grow,
And been there for me,
And pulled me though.
When I was down, You've helped me up,
Told me off when I was bad,
Held me close and comforted me,
And given me a shoulder on which to bear.
And yet I never tell you, not never as much,
How much you're really mean to me,
How much it hurts for me to see,
The pain that you are in.
For the other thing that I remember,
Is the pain in you, Those long long nights,
When dad will hold you,
Helping you against the pain.
Yet all I can give to show my love,
To you my very mum,
Is this poem and a hug,
To say thank you very much.
For you are my mum the hand of love,
Which holds me when it's dark,
And if you ever need me,
All you need is ask.
For I may not be the best of souls,
But I'm definitely not the worst,
And even though I never say so,
I love you mum with all my heart.
I feel your pain and share your dreams,
To see me understand,
That through the good times and the bad,
You'll always hold my hand.
And when in years it comes to part,
That you are old, And I a dad,
I'll remember what I've said,
What you did and teach my kids.
That love itself can do so much,
Hold our hands, and help our hearts,
And if I have a daughter,
I will pray about her soul.
That in turn when I am old,
That she to will be like you,
And teach her kids what love can do,
I know now what to do.
Mum I love you in every way,
And for that I write this way,
You're my mum and I'm here to say,
I love you dearly in every way.

Your mother gave you

the gift of life, and in exchange she receives your gift of love all wrapped up in this poem. Practice what you pen and she will know such a gift is priceless. A beautiful expression of feelings and tribute from a devoted son.

Thank you for sharing them with Me tonight.
