I Never Knew…

I never knew that love could be so sweet, yet turn so sour.

I never knew that life could be so good, yet turn so bad within a heartbeat.

I never knew I could be so warm, yet so cold.

I never knew I could be so sure of myself, yet doubt so much.

I never knew I could be so kind, yet be perceived as cruel.

I never knew I could understand so much, yet not have a clue.

I never knew that love could be so fulfilling, yet leave me feeling so empty.

I never knew that I could be so strong, yet turn out so weak.

I never knew it could feel so good, yet hurt so bad.

Now, I know.

Very touching poem

You've written a very touching poem Lynn. Some of what you wrote, hit home with me, having experienced that myself in the past. {{{{Lynn}}}}

Sad but Beautiful

Beautifully expressed. Hopefully in time, the experiences described will turn out well.
