I only wanted your approval. I worked so hard to seek it out.
I had no idea what you were doing was wrong, but now I know what it was all about.
I carried around the guilt for so long, wondering if what I did was right or wrong. You try to put it on me saying everything is my fault, but I finally realize it wasn't me, it was you!
You were the one who crossed the line and took from me what was mine. You robbed me of my childhood, I only wish you understood. I use to hope that some day you would change into the dad I wished and hoped that I had.
