I sing to you
words which are not mine
from some other time
from some other's mind

of some other life
when pain bit deep
and love salved wounds
salvation rose from tunes

a poultice profound
bound to my heart
drawing out the misery
setting my heart free

tears float on notes
from emptiness to overflowing
knowing melody awakens
heals the heart that's breaking
