Even as you turn from me,
I smile,
even as you walk in that direction,
my scent fills your nose,
arousing your desire,
I am the fire.

Even though your consumed with a hate,
I smile,
For I shall not wait,
around for the day,
when you make the decision to be a man.

Even as your harsh words,
bloody my name,
I smile,
You were lucky to have me,
for that short while.

Even as you lay awake,
recounting,
the debts you've paid,
I smile,
For fate,
is my revenge.

Even as you weave your lies,
and look me straight in the eyes,
I smile,
Seeing no more the fire inside.

Even as you hold onto others,
in the dead of the night,
I feel pity for you,
and smile.
