I still dream
I still dream of the one for me,
In his arms, the only place to be.
to be his only one,
Alone, he and I when the day was done.
hours of laughing and crying as we talk,
Saying nothing, holding hands as we walk.
when i look into his eyes, my heart will feel,
And I will know the words he speaks are real.
he and i against the world, a perfect team,
Where are you my soul, until we meet...
I still dream.

Spring's Around the Corner, So, Here...

The Lilac of Spring

The streets of this city

still echo your name.

In deepest repine,

a part of my heart

also yearns to respond.

That I treasure

the time swept

memories --

although I too will fade

into your shadow

of ambiguity.

The shades now dance

with silent acquiescence,

the dances we danced

in places where

my footsteps no longer fall.

Time has brought back

the lilac of Spring

where vignettes waft

with need no more

for heartfelt wanderings.
