I think of you and wonder
I think of what brought us together
I think of how we will say goodbye
Or if we ever will

Will someday we both fade away
From each other's memory
Remembering not the things that were said
Nor the feelings we felt

Or what we really mean to each other
The way we helped each other
In that time of need
The way we laughed

What purpose do we serve
In each others life
Is it wrong to talk to you
Is it wrong to think of you

We come into each other's lives
Sometimes we stay
Sometimes we go
But we are richer either way

Richer for knowing each other
Richer for caring
Because wherever I go from here
I take you with me

In that secret place of mine
In my heart
And though I may never speak your name
You are always in my thoughts
