I thought you were my perfect girl
The one to be my bride
But pity me when I found out
That all along you'd lied.
Your words of true devotion
Your longing to be near
Had me proudly telling all,
You were the one, my dear.

For months I was so happy
That you were there for me
You made my life seem so fulfilled,
The end I did not see.
I started to get worried,
With your talk of other guys.
Yet every time you quashed my fears,
I believed, trusted your lies.

But now the dream is over
I'm left with all my fears,
Your texts,
My lonely tears.
