The pearly white gates
that were suppose to be
were rusted and crippled
in an appearence of agony

I walk through the gates

The statues that were
I see shattered everywhere
hundreds had been destroyed
there was still dust in the air

I walk past the statues

The garden I saw
contained no life
the flowers were dead
the gorund cold as ice

I walk past the garden

The fountains I found
made my heart thud
for they were cascading out
not water but blood

I walk past the fountains

The roads that I walked
remained yet unpaved
right then I wished
they had left me in my grave

I walk off the roads

The park that I spotted
was silent as a mouse
the benches were empty
Noone was there to arouse

I walk past the park

The houses I see
are shambles and shacks
ruins were there
this place has been cracked

I walk past the statues

The ruins I saw
the way things seemed
I could plainly see
Heaven was dead
dead like me

I walked on.
