inspired by the movie Night Breed

Never did fit in
Never was one of them
Never really wanted to be
Always the outsider
The odd man out
For no reason or understanding that I could find
None of society ever wanted the real me
The man beast
Standing howling alone
Under a full moon now I come to you
Home at last for my weary broken soul
Knocking on your door
Asking
Begging
Is this paradise for a freak like me?

BRIDGE

Where all the monsters come to feed
Here is where the angels fear to thread the most
My home
Where I know that I belong
There can be no other quite like it
Hell is my heaven
Heaven is their hell
Gotta be
Wanna be
Let me in to be one of you
One of the few
The ones that belong nowhere but here
Cabal, please hear my cry
My plea
Master before thee I vow
Made my sacrifice
Gave up my human soul
Now I just wanna be one of you
I wanna be breed
I wanna be Night Breed

Unloved
Unwanted
Got nowhere else to go
No one else to turn to but you
My wicked savior
Walking sin in the flesh
Not human
Not even trying to pretend
Neither one of us wants to fit in
Fit into their dream of a perfect world
Where beauty reigns supreme
Ugly and we know it
Loving it cos we embrace it
You and I so very much alike
No dirty illusions here
We both know what we are
Where we belong

REPEAT BRIDGE

Shameful too damm long
Hiding our faces
In the shadows
We've always kept back out of the light
Prefering the cold, cold night
To be our warmest, dearest friend
Our only friend
Growing up
Knowing we were too damm different
To ever be the same as them
We watched the years roll on bye
Waiting
Waiting for that one insane moment
When the world we wanted would be made sane
After the lights went out
That's when we burned our brightest
As scars under the unforgiving stars

REPEAT BRIDGE

Midnight
That's when I'll come calling
Waiting
Smoking my last cigarette
Outside the tomb of my family of freaks like me
Just like me
Alone and afraid
Leaning on one another
Just to make it through the nightmares haunting their sleep
Dreaming of the dawn of a new day
Where we can all be free
Accepted for the ugly beauty we hide
So deep inside
Flesh, blood, and bone just like them
The normal abnormal freaks of the world
Just looking for a home
A place to rest our weary souls
Begging
Asking all throughout the night
Where is a outsider's paradise when no one will let us in?
