i want to swim in a sea of words
be lost in a tsunami tome
go soak in an ocean of emotion
i want to slowly stroke my way
through rolling green waves
that wash me cool clean and fresh
i want to expand my flesh
i want to hold my breath and float
i want to sink to the bottom and drown
surround me with bubbles and foam
let watery words wash all over me
and bathe me in the memory of love
let the riptide pull me far far away
from this sunless shore and send me
out into a sea of wounded words.
