I was fifteen going on sixteen
You were seventeen and a football star
I had no idea what men were about..

We went out your special attention
I felt like a princess, you made me feel safe
You tilted my face to yours...

Kissed me lightly at first, hurriedly with more
possessiveness, youthfulness made me feel
It was right.

The night went on my hand in yours
The night was a constant
Game for you, one you wouldn't lose.

I was but a child, but one you wanted
We did become married a week after I turned sixteen
We had a thirty two marriage.

Then one night you saw your next wife
You were fifty four chasing her hard
She was thirty four, been married five times.

You might be happy, I wouldn't know
I am back alone my life simple
I am happy, I learned to not have to be coupled.

I still don't know what men are about
Yet, its sure fun to find out
Thank you for giving me a sense of play.

Thank you for giving me a sense of play.
