We lost touch so long ago;
I missed you every day,
and when I thought of finding you,
I thought there was no way.

Days came and went, and I moved on,
but still I thought of you.
Years passed by, but with no luck,
what was I to do?

And then one day, a miracle!
I found you once again,
but things being what they were,
you could only be my friend.

We reminisce of days long past
and things that might have been,
but because of what came in between,
there is no way to win.

If I could have my fondest wish,
I'd see you here and now,
But I know you're scared that doing so
would make me break my vow.

I care for you so deeply still.
I tell you every day.
And when it comes to loving you,
I wish there was a way.
