I’m aware that I’m blessed
With more than I could expect,
Never one to be easily
Satisfied.

Now that you’re in my life
I live beyond happiness,
A witness to cups
Overflowing.

Still, my heart desires more
While aware it can never be,
I fill days and nights ever
Wishing.

If I remade the world
For my own perfection,
I’d start by moving us
Together.

That would not be enough
To allow all I want,
I wish we were 18 and
Unattached.

Even that couldn’t serve
‘Cause I know my own soul,
I would need me to be
Courageous.

Yet, deep in my heart
I can surrender those dreams,
And trade them all for a
Singularity.

What I desperately want
Beyond all other wishes,
Is simply your total
Healing.
