I wish I knew your heart,
to hold it in my hands as you hold mine,
to weep for it's beauty that only I see,
to know finally, what guides your day and rules your mind.
But that will never be and perhaps for the best.
To know your heart is to know its' ruler.
That may be too painful a sight for me.

You guard your heart so well.
Is that to protect yourself or others?
You have placed tangles around your heart.
Those tangles are too deep, too thorny, too thick.
The tangles are too many.
And you won't let me in.
I wish I knew your heart.

But perhaps for the best, I do not.
