You spoke of yesterday
                     today;
I spoke of tomorrow
                     tonight.
We both spoke of dreams
                     old and new.

You turned to the right
                     then left;
I sat up straight
                then laid down again.
We both turned toward each other
                searching... finding.

You touched my knee
               and traced the scar lying there;
We both touched hands
               and followed fingertips to the end.

You walked down the walk
               and turned left;
I walked down that same walk
               and turned right.

I wonder...
        did you ever think about us again?
