I wonder if you think of me
When you are on your own
Or if you sometimes dream of me
When you are not alone?

I wonder if your body aches
To feel the touch of mine
Or if you find that your hand shakes
To get me on the line?

I wonder if you stand and gaze
Upon a bright, full moon
Or see the starry sky ablaze
And feel we are in tune?

I wonder if it saddens you
That we are far apart
Or if you wonder what I do
And what is in my heart?

I wonder if you feel for me
What I feel deep inside
When I look in your eyes and see
Emotions you can't hide?

I wonder if you want me too
With passion and desire
Or think of what you want to do
When we are both on fire?

I wonder if you think of me
The way I think of you
The way I feel for you
The way I beat for you
The way I wait for you
The way I ache for you
The way I dream of you
The way I look at you
The way I want you

I wonder if you think of me?

~~

Seems to be pretty good but those last nine lines need to go; their impact feels to be devastating on the rest of the poem. The poem could use some tweaking, but that's almmost minor and superficial next to those last nine lines.

longing

A wistful wondering about another's affections. Poignant and endearing.
