If I knock on your door,
sometime fairly soon.
Would you fall in a faint to the floor,
or perhaps slowly swoon.

Would you slam the door in my face,
or would you invite me in,
would you be glad to see me,
or tell me to get out.

Would your reactions be different
if we were all alone,
or if others were present,
there, at your home.

Would you be pleased to see me?
Or pissed, mad as hell,
that I would come to your door,
and with no warning, ring you bell.

So, If I come knocking,
which is it to be.
Will I receive of warm welcome,
or will you despise me.

I really would like an answe,
because you can never tell,
some day soon, I may show up
and simply ring your bell.
