If I Were Free

If I were free what a glorious life it would be!
Out of these shackles that bound me;
free from this isolation that surrounds me, wouldn’t it be sweet?
How great it would be to feel the ground on my feet!

If I were free no obstacle would be in my way.
I would be free to choose my own path,
If I were free I could break the glass, snap the chains!

Free of the pain, out in the world I would go,
with only confidence and a healthy soul in tow.

If I could fly then I would really be free!
Free from my body that restricts me,
Free from emotions that constrict me.
If I were free my mind would be clear,
my soul would be clean,
I would lay my head down and dream peaceful dreams.
Oh wouldn’t be great if I were free?

Nice sing-song feel to this but needs some editing work. Check line 2 verb tense {bind instead of bound}. Also check last line — insert "it" between "wouldn't be".
