A look across the room
Bitten lip, bated breath
Unspoken desire written on the features

A moment of indecision
To risk or to run
Movement, advancing on borrowed courage

A flame ignited, kindled
Laughter, sultry and sweet
Finger tracing bare skin, cheek, jaw

A moment's hesitation
Lips find each other, part
Kiss urgent, complete possession

A darkened corner, away from sight
Fingers claw, delve, explore
Urgent longing, panties pushed aside

A deafening silence, gasps
Swift fulfillment of urgent longing
Frenzied thrusts, groping hands

A peak scaled
Release and trembling,
Clinging to each other, promise kept

A flush of embarrassment
Clothing straightened, hair smoothed
Quick retreat to the anonymity of the pulsing musical beat
