I stood where you stand.
Lonely and loveless hugs,
consoling people hold your hand.

The crippling millstone of pain
forever afflicted on your heart.
Your face and eyes full of sorrow.

You stand where I stood.
So many strangers sitting all around,
saying they are sorry, please don't frown.

I'll hold you in my arms
as an angel on my guard.
Attempt to shield you from all harm.

We are kindred souls with similar fate.
I will race to you and not hesitate,
if peril comes to you in haste.
