Loving caresses on a
heartless body
Sweet kisses on
numb lips
Loving whispers fall upon
deaf ears
Care-filled eyes gaze upon an
ice-cold face

Numb lips whisper
words I want to hear
Frozen hands
warm on my body
Eyes so cold
look at me with care
Numb lips
lay gentle kisses on me

The frozen heart
seems to be melting
Acting so well
I'm almost convinced
I wish it were more than
just an illusion.
