Your breath upon my shoulder
acquiesces to my future and past
belonging yet burning satin moments
into bittersweet memories.

Conscience, adolescent developer
of right and wrong, captures
broken dreamers, silently guiding
through cryptic life mazes.

Can you touch the illusion? Can you pull
the tiniest petals from the aster
while separating filaments of reality
from mountainous irrationality?

Your breath upon my shoulder
reminds, convinces of this moment
before silently slipping off into
God's great abyssal sanctuary...
