She’s in my head,
But I’m not in love
She haunts my dreams,
This is obsession, not love
With my body I serve her,
But she does not own my heart
I wait with baited breath for just one word
This is but a mere infatuation
She has the voice of an angel,
But I will not fall for her witchery
Her scent is intoxicating,
Drugging me will not make me confess
She tastes of sexual pleasures,
It is lust I feel, not love
Her declaration of love does not convince me
I know I’m not in love....I just can’t be

"She tastes of sexual pleasures",

I know its not Love.. its LUST..lust...lust...lust. But I don't want to stop... Terrific, I love this wee poem. Kudo's to marie

Infatuation? Obsession? Sure sounds like love to me, perhaps with a little lust tossed in to confuse matters a tad. BTW, it should read "bated breath".

My walls...

The walls that are up

are hard to bring down.

I put them up for reasons

of protection against the hurt.

However you bring them down

little by little everyday.

I can only hope that you have the patience

to see this through for the rewards that follow.

Yours,

Thirsty1
