There is nothing
More powerful than Time

She is both
Quick and slow
Precious and wasted
Unstoppable and deadly

She is mother to all
Gift to all
And curse to all

She births life itself
Decays it
Erodes rock
Destroys Gods

She is the only true immortal

None can defy her
Not people nor deities
Not planets nor stars
There exists nothing more powerful than she
And she is with us all

All must journey with her
As she carries us lovingly
Into the cold embrace
Of her consort

Into the arms
Of Death himself

There is nothing
Without Time

I took a picture

Of rocks in a small swift brook with a long exposure that made the water look blurred - Looking at it made me think that water laughs through time, but the rocks take it more seriously. Nice job.

Thank you :)

Thanks for the advice, that article sounds intriguing :) and makes sense in a weird sort of way. I don't feel powerless when I think of time though, I feel awe and gratitude for all the time I've lived and have yet to live. I believe that I have a healthy respect for time :)

Dude...

I totally read an article this week that said "assigning human characteristics to time makes wait times seem even more oppressive, especially for those who think of themselves as powerless rather than powerful" so...careful there...don't give time more power than it deserves...though, honestly, you get it right on. Time is all there is.
