Snows of hollow months prevailed
Still more than winter’s tears did fall
Once bitten by the frost of shame
thawed now by no regrets nor blame
Melting, yet nevermore can be

As children of this October’s reign
in birth both tricks and treats will gift
to her the treats so long awaited
to me the tricks of love ill fated
Costumed all as Destiny

No more we’ll kiss or touch or hold
No more this slice of Life we’ll share
Just one belief remains; endures
I’ll be in all tomorrows’ lives
in all tomorrows’ souls...

immortally yours.

Short, Sweet, and Lovely

As I read more and more of your writing, I become a bigger and bigger fan. What I find especially interesting, is how your words make me feel different emotions... to me, that is the mark of a great writer.

Very nice, Vixxxy!

Is this a particular form? I found myself reading it over and over, playing with the rhyme and rhythm-- very fun!

It deserves a stronger ending, though!

Love perpetual...

is expressed in this poem so beautifully. Thank you for the glimpse into your heart's soul.
