No big bang of inception
No explosion of brilliant fire
No rattling of the well-worn cage
No massacre of the village within

Just a slow dissolution of the union
A trickle of care that slowly stops
A waning light that is extinguished much too late
An unintended erosion of a fanciful dream

No fatal blow to the heart
No furtive jolt to the senses
No cutting with razor sharp words
No high drama reality show

Just a feeling that can’t be revived
A silence that doesn’t want absolution
An alliance that can’t be maintained
The quiet recognition of farewell

the feelings..do end

like the feeling it evokes....the waiting to die is felt...but the need to go on wins....Thomasdruid
