We both drink pineapple juice

and lots of water

We know because we discussed it

when I commented how your juice is clear and perfect

and we recalled how mine is plentiful and pleasant

We laugh out loud, often

that beautiful kind of laughter

between friends

sometimes friendships form so fast

that no one has time to question

Our eyelashes are long

Yours longer than mine, but straight

and mine curled and pretty,

like a girl's should be

while you're every bit a man

You can't spell

you're is always your

We both know my dilemma is lack of focus

because my mind is everywhere

when it should be on -this-, but I improve

(I hope you can tell.)

So maybe sometimes I can't help

noticing the freckles across your chest

and saying how I like them

but when you notice mine too, on my arms

and kiss them, it's alright

These things aren't supposed to be

this easy, so I know

the ball will drop

the gavel will fall, but I'm not waiting for that

I'm enjoying every day we have.

Thanks

That one seems kind of out of place to me too.

simple

and yet splendid,

the verse ealing with spelling etc. is the weak one, I'd cut it but just my opinion
