In a dream...
I follow you in my car.
Yours red, knowing without knowing
It belongs to you...the color envisioned, lips, nails, all...when I think of you.

In a dream...
I waited for you in my car.
Parked I see you leave
But you not me...natural movements so sure...relaxed and unknowing of me.

In a dream...
Its true, my heart pounds.
Mouth dry, hands sweaty
Too eager...car jumps, a mind of its own...now chasing.

In a dream...
Speeding to stay close.
Unseen my need, yet daring grows
Afraid of red unwanted...risking unseen at your rear...too close, do you see?

In a dream...
FEAR!
Do you know? Have my actions, my NEED, touched your psyche?
Pace slowing...yet the road now open...insanity rushes upon me.

In a dream...
STALKER!
Do I dare? Would you approve, meeting me this way?
How could you...you can't...but my mind lost of logic still.

In a dream...
Leaving you.
My car rushes on
Wanting, wishing to draw you along...but no...pace maddenly steady, fading.

In a dream...
Losing you.
The chaser needing to be pursued
Exiting...to chase again...failing, options few.

In a dream...
PANIC!
No return. How stupid.
Crying out...cursing my folly...why, why, why.

In a dream...
Now a nightmare.
Lost, all lost
Madwoman motors...no avail, distance too great...you're gone.

In a nightmare...
I see myself.
Did the dream intend the detour
My haste...your calm...my folly so clear.

In a nightmare...
The dream over.
Instruction clear
Let go...never meant to be, never can be...let you be.

In a dream...
I think of you.
I think of me
Us...chance plays its part again...perhaps but unlikely.

In a dream...
You're happy and well.
And me
Grateful, not wiser...chance smiling...recalls the delivered dream.

In a dream...
You.
Thinking
Of me...now and then...heart aches, remembering all that you were to me.

In a dream...
Its enough.
