And all it took was three letters, obscured,
looking right at me from the picture I found.
This feeling of conspiracy has been lured
from beneath years of heavy uncertainty.
Now the wind quiets in my filled mind
and I want to fall and kiss the ground
while the unseen cords tighten and bind
the old days to the new in infinity.
Another gift, another love, another day
with the whole of my life now bound
to mean something to me in a new way.
Dreams in fruition; clarity from obscurity.

dreamsweetover 20 years agoAuthorthe only real reason I had "filled" was to make use of an allusion to a song. This one probably turned out well because I wrote it while still "high" on that feeling! I didn't want to pound my head on the table, so I stuck with the first word to express that the emptiness is gone. :)
Angelineover 20 years agoWhat a beautiful love poem that is written so fluently. It has a rhythmic musical feel. I would say something other than "filled mind"--maybe "full" or "cluttered," but that's really just a quibble. :)
