Click hereThe gentle kiss of the spring has ended it's sad song spell,
All the flowers bloomed most beautifully, and all their petals fell,
Summer's dance of flames and fire, heat to sear the skin,
All ended in cloudbursts like rivers of tears,
Forgetting all passion and sin,
Whoever loves old Autumn? that comes at the end of the dreams,
Tearing apart the fabric of time, ripping the summer at its seams,
Whoever loves my Autumn, and the chaotic way I fall,
The wind that tears at the branches of the trees, and the scarecrow's tight-lipped call,
Whoever loves the Autumn? the droop and sigh of each limb,
Dry and dismal protrusions, and bones, fleshless and slim,
Whoever loves my Autumn? The darkening of all my days,
Who cares to love my mournful chill, and my sullen, funerial ways,
Who sees past the glory of colors that for the rest of the year hide in my soul,
Who can see past the beginning of the end, to the bearer of the long, black cold,
Who can love my Autumn? knowing that it comes short and sweet,
Knowing that winter brings a loss of all life, and the bitterest and most eternal sleep?
Who dares to love me in my Autumn, when all fairness has gone from my life?
When the wind blows frostier every day, and threatens winter as sharply as a knife?
My Autumn is only a short while, who can love such a thing small as this?
He loves me in my Autumn, despite the chill of my kiss,
And he loves me through my Autumn, though Spring and summer he missed,
He'll love me beyond this Autumn, and deep into my winter's bliss...
....into one's autumn (~_~) nice write, thanks for the read!
