That night when we first made love
Our song played softly in the bedroom
"In Your Eyes" set the perfect mood for us
Though we joked about jumping each other's bones
To "Shock The Monkey"; it never worked the same way
But we knew; we BOTH knew
That song meant that much to us
As we meant to one another

When I listen to it alone, I imagine feeling
Your invisible touch upon my shoulder
Gliding down to delicious places
My heart's going "boom, boom, boom!"
Because you have the touch that lingers
Longer than any lover I've ever known
Your gentle fingers entangled in my hair
As you whisper in my ear
And I hear that voice again...
"Please...lay your hands on me."

The rising warmth from within
Suddenly feels like a rush of lust
As I'm caught in the pleasurable undertow
The ripples dragging me away as I struggle
To come up for air, still pulling me under
As you caress and tease, over and over
Knowing what I like, and liking what I know
The rhythm of the heat rapidly increasing
As our bodies move as one, with no self-control
Not knowing how to stop, and shaky at the knees

That song takes me to a special place
Like you always do when you touch me
But I want you lying next to me when I listen to you
Confidently singing along, "I am complete in your eyes"
Knowing those words are true, that you truly are
Complete before me, in my eyes.
