In our little box we played, in the dark,
Away from prying eyes.
So afraid were you, you said,
Of their meanness and viciousness
So if found, they'd do everything to tear us apart.

So others could not see
As we wove our little strands together
And looking about, peering out,
I didn't know them
And they knew not of me.

Now you've silently slipped away
And alone in the box
I wonder
In whose other boxes
