- quiet tribute to The Cure, who touches places I didn't know I had, and has unwittingly been there for me when no one else has...

Adjust to an empathy
of self-hate, and
the shadows we all carry

go on to wish I knew
how a menagerie feels

and looking for lemurs
when my own insomnia hits

now this time,
take me in deep
to believe in them all:
Elise, Charlotte, Cristabel,
Billy, Blossom, and Fuschia

Touch envy when I hear
stream of conscious,
angry, existential flair
up against a six string bass
and relentless drum beat.

and wish I could
do that song thing -
rhythm, rhyme, melody

but appreciate
my privelage
to escape myself
into these albums
in my most dangerous times.

it's

always nice when you find a band or artist who seems to speak for you..or comfort you in life.

The Cure are a great band

I'm glad you found them and vice versa.

Great poem and a really great idea

I can relate

I'm sure others can too

Thank you
