In the corner of the room there is a window
It looks out past and beyond
It shows me all and nothing
But gives me no chance to respond

In the corner of the room there is a window
It bleeds life into the room
Do I look out or does it look in
Or does it leave me in a vacuum

In the corner of the room there is a window
It tells me truth and lies and fantasy
How am I to know which is which
Or should I just writhe with the ecstasy

In the corner of the room there is a window
It pulls me in to spit me out
It can give me everything I never wanted
But with a button I close the curtains of doubt
