As I lay upon my bed,
here alone in the dark.
My mind drifted far away,
to a place my soul only knew.
My heart felt sad, lonely,
Heavy achine with need.
So I whispered into the darkness
For you Beloved, my one my all
Lying here in need of you,
the touch of your warm hand
to softly, gently brush away
A single strand of hair.
To know the tender kisses
Of your lips against my own.
This longing deep within me,
A passion kever known.
The tears they begin to fall,
Softly on my cheek, like rain.
Why is it I am here,
Alone once more again.
In a dream tossed slumber of sleep,
I reach out to an empty place.
One where you should be,
Next to me filling this space.
