In the Flames

starry night sky
just you and I, entwined and cuddled
me, sometimes feeling befuddled
mesmerized and hypnotized by you
flames flicker in front of us
food we savored, sensuous

fire reaching high
ashes glow as they drift by
gone in the wink of an eye
hands touch each other's thigh
as we sit side by side
me, captured and enraptured by you
you, wonderful in this smoky view
lips meet feeling the heat
from the fire in front and the one within
embers smolder as we embrace under covers
into the flames as we become lovers
shall we begin?
