Time, wrinkled and broken,
Please provide me with a safe haven
Away from the troubles of this world
  And the ills of humankind.
Make me young, where I
  Once failed to gain respect
  And grow more towards
The dreams I have dreamt for myself,
  And no one else.
Please release the shackles I have inside me
Confined to walls once bloodied by negative emotions,
Surrendered to a world that refuses
  To see what I possess,
I am the victim of a blind society
  On the brink of destruction.
So finally, here I am, sullen and restrained
My children on the verge of death.
If I may ask this and nothing else:
That I be given the privilege,
                To see her again...
