In The Twilight

in the twilight of my deepest dreams

i see him slowly moving

across the canvas of my mind

a figure bathed in the shadows of my imagination

a distant moon glows softly above

I see my ideal MALE with more clarity

a striking figure, dark and tall

eyes piercing me even through the dimness

my heart jumps and my body stirs

i hold my breath at once aroused and afraid

he moves toward me with a subtlety

that only he understands

he reaches for me and

gently strokes my cheek

he lowers his mouth to my ear

whispers deeply, "our journey begins, pet"

i manage to quietly whisper "yes"

my mind is repeating over and again

"thank you God for this man...."

i feel my hand in his

my mind and body opening

as my soul surrenders
