In whose eyes is it wrong
for me to yearn for your touch?
Theirs?
Ones who say they care?
Only to hurt us with hateful words?
In whose eyes is it wrong
for me to caress the body who has longed to be caressed?
Theirs?
Those who have turned us away in our time of need?
In whose eyes is it wrong
to feel the sweat drying and cooling our bodies
as a warm breeze blows across our exposed flushed skin?
Theirs?
Those who knew of our needs
And did nothing but turn away from us
Does it make you angry
that I write these words of truth?
It should, for I could be your future instead of a passing fancy
