Inside Out

byKikahCornelius©

You seem to get taller in my memory. The blue. The scissors. The little box and it's clink and clatter. A man purse. I want to ask so many questions. Nothing to do with me. You crazy thing. I'm scared to touch lips. The world might end. After tonight, I'm willing to risk it all. Mine and everyone else's. Really, that's every night. If you were mine for real, you would die from being smothered in love and tears of joy. To kiss that neck again or to even see you. The voice would flip my brain inside out. I'd only be able to whisper a tremble. I would put you to sleep by sliding my finger softly across the bridge of your nose. Stroke your cheek with my thumb. You were the happiest accident. Those feet. Those hands. I would pay to have seen the look on my face when you snuck into my consciousness. Smelling so sweet.
