Two bodies cast in golden glow
Of lamplight soft and mellow,
The sounds of passion in the air
and scent of lust surrounds them.
Two lovers locked in this embrace-
The ageless dance of mating
No care have they but reach that peak
where body and soul are driven.

A soft sigh, a gentle moan
Foretells the moment coming,
When bodies die that little death
And in completion, are reborn.
Two lovers lay, thus reclined
Upon the sacred bed
And dance the dance repeated oft
And sought by one and many..
And as bodies tense, and pressures rise
A groan is met with fevered sigh.

She lifts her legs, he surges hard
upon her cushioned mound,
And with a cry, they both achieve
The sweet release of coupling.
Depleted now, drained and weak,
he falls upon her body,
And still entwined they linger thus,
Both bodies drained and shaken.
Soft kisses are with whisper met,
upon his bowed ear,
And softly he is entreated, "Stay"...
"Lay thus within me here.."
So conjoined, they drift into
A tired and happy slumber.
