Interludes of lust,
faith draining with appetites of need
and wanton behaviors run rapid.
Kisses sear our lips,
My moans swallowed by a mouth
A tongue dancing with mine,
Sheets and skin, hard and soft
Lust and recklessness,
Pain, brief, shallow
Butterflies swimming in a pool of dreams
Buried inside of my desire,
Moving with the waves crashing in the mind.
Life trailing behind creation,
Animal hunger tugging at the corner
Blowing as we soar beyond the brink.
This was vision, the night.
Want fed with need
Need sought with pain.
Creating had been painful.
But love had been lost.
