the wind blows leaves east & west
for years i didn't bother with no taxes
the wind blows ol' me east & west
i didn't get no money to pay no taxes

the irs man follows me coast to coast
he damn well knows i can't pay no taxes

i got me a woman to follow me
but it's of no use when they haul my skinny ass to jail
i got me a good woman to follow me
but she says it's of no use your ol' ass will rot in jail

the irs man follows me coast to coast
he will haul my ol' skinny ass off to jail
