The sun rises from the horizon and lights up the trees surrounding the buildings
I smile as I see a mother and baby walking along the path
They are enjoying the springtime and she is enjoying the new life in her arms
She thinks life is perfect
If only that was true
I want to rush out and tell her it is not perfect, that as she walks along the path, walking home from a building that bears both life and death
That I am sitting here watching my new life struggle with staying alive
It is not fair
