It wont be,
A golden sunset,
A charmed horizon,
In the future,
Hand in hand.
It will fade,
From imagination,
That at some point,
We’ll sit or cuddle,
And live the life we planned.
Those words,
You spoke,
They gently eased,
From your soft lips,
To my waiting ears.
Their tone,
It changed,
The way we were,
From Tenderness,
To tears.
I miss you,
You know,
From day to day,
Life without you,
At the end of the phone.
I dislike you,
I have to,
To encourage me,
To live my life
Alone.
I wonder if,
You think of me,
And the times,
Of love,
We used to share.
But it hurts,
To think,
You can exist,
Even breathe,
Without me there.
